![]() Not to mention the fact that we lost substantial sentimental value with each of these pieces. The resort has been extremely unhelpful in talking with us (rarely responding to calls/emails), nor have they made us feel like they are doing anything to locate the missing items, covering the cost of the losses or preventing it from happening in the future. Unfortunately, after being robbed, we tried four different lockers to make sure it wasn't just ours that had the issue, and all of them were defective. I hope to spare the rest of you.Īfter paying $300 for services I would expect the lockers to work. The issues have not been fixed and now we are suffering for it. Several other guests had cash stolen or lockers opened as well, and we've been told by authorities and employees that these break-ins have happened before. Instead, we had nearly all of our most valuable belongings STOLEN out of the lockers in the upscale, adults area - engagement ring, wedding ring, class ring, other jewelry, cash. We were hoping to enjoy a nice day at the spa/hot springs, worry free. and to respect everyone else trying to listen to the tour, but we would like to come back when that time comes. We won't go back until we have a child old enough to do the tour safely and who would want to actually understand and care about the tour to make it worth the time and $ for us. but know it's a quick trip and you won't see much of anything. Our son did get to see a couple foxes that were in the 2 front fences in the entry way, and the gift shop had a really nice variety of products though, so if it's on the way, you could go just for that if you have a toddler or baby. And I'm pretty sure all the tours go inside the enclosures, which he is also not ready for and could not behave safely - they do say on their site tours are not recommended for anyone below the age of 5, and I'd agree with their recommendation however, I didn't realize that basically meant do not visit if you are under the age of 5 since it's only meant to be a tour guided facility - nothing you can pay an admission to just view from behind the fenced areas. he just wanted to go see the animals from a distance, like the National Wildlife Refuge. Our 2 (almost 3) year old just wouldn't have had the patience for or really care to take a tour (and I'm sure the guides and everyone else on the tour appreciated not having a 2 year old talk through the entire tour asking 8 million questions over and over about the animals and running around). The gal at the check-in desk said they did have room for us on the tour if we wanted to join, and it would have been $25 (per adult) for each of us and $15 (per child) for our 2 year old child. So just for anyone else wondering, even if you do pay, you cannot walk around without being on a guided tour beyond the 2 front fences and the check-in building. not a toddler experience! The website made it seem like they only had tours on certain days and since they list business hours straight through the day, we assumed that you could just walk around on your own if it wasn't a tour / Wildlife encounter time. Skip the food, enjoy the views and go out to dinner for the same price. It was okay, not good, not bad - it would have been great if we weren't going for a toddler. Ordered a flight of beers, the Rouge was very good, the others were nothing special. ![]() The burgers were just ok, there was no signature sauce as spelled out on the menu. We were expecting some choices and the good food that people wrote about it’s really just burgers, sandwiches and pasta dishes. Our server Kenneth was attentive and did a great job.įour stars because the food was so disappointing. We loved the open air car views were amazing. There was a great voice over telling stories Of the history of the area, which we really enjoyed. ![]() read more Took the dome car with our family of five, all sat together, it was very comfortable, but if it’s a nice day I would’ve gone coach and spent the ride in the open air car.
